The-KT was a student project built around a simple idea: giving freelancers a practical way to track the time they spend working on different projects and tasks.
I worked as the full-stack developer, developing the application's frontend and most of its backend.
The application includes authentication, client management, and project management, providing the structure needed to associate individual time entries with specific work. Each project can have an hourly rate, along with room for other invoice and report calculation options.
For authentication I used Lucia docs, username/password, GitHub OAuth, and email verification flows. I also added rate limiting, with separate rules for general requests and login attempts, in two methods of sliding and fixed bucket.
A TMetric invoice, referenced here as a vision for how the invoicing view might have looked.Although I didn't reach the Invoice and Reporting features, the time-tracking interface remains interesting for me. It includes a live timer, project and task selection, editable time entries, and a 24-hour timeline (gantt chart) for viewing recorded work throughout the day. I also set up Persian date and time pickers to make the interface work naturally with the Persian calendar and local date/time input.
The project gave me the opportunity to work across the full stack, from database modeling with Prisma to authentication, API logic, and the frontend interactions that makes it practical to use.
